In recent years, yoga has gained a-lot popularity for it's immense benefits towards physical mental and spiritual perspective, however for some Cristian, the spiritual origin of yoga raises question about whether they can practice yoga or not as it will align with their faith or not, and there a good thing about it, is that it's possible to practice yoga in a way where, there Christian honor and belief will not get harmed, as it only for focusing on the physical and meditational aspect while relying on ones' relationship with god. with mindfulness and intention, yoga can become a practice where you can connect with divine, deepens your faith and improve your physical health.

Understand the origin of yoga but don't get fear:
Yoga originated in ancient Indian tradition, and deeply connected with Hindu, traditional yoga includes some Hindu spiritual elements, like mantra, chanting and meditation, it's important to have knowledge of these origin, one should know as being a Christian. No one says to reject yoga because of such things, you can practice yoga without involving yourself in religious and spiritual practices, which definitely don't conflict Cristian belief. you can practice asanas (physical posture), pranayama (breathing technique) which will not contradict your faith.

Focus on Physical and Mental benefit:

  • Stretching and postures: It improves your flexibility and make your body relaxed.
  • Breathing Technique: By practicing this method you will make you mind calm and improves mental health.
  • Mindfulness and Stillness: By practicing this, you can quiet your mind and can connect with God.

Replace eastern meditation with Christian meditation:

  • Instead of chanting mantra, use Ho'oponopono prayer to calm your mind and connect with that divine.
  • Reflect on god's love and grace. 
  • Pay gratitude to your angles while holding a pose or doing meditation.
  • You can recite, psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that i am God."
